We give out homework sheets at the start of the term and expect one to be completed each week. Don't forget to record each time you read in the yellow reading record!

Please name all your child’s clothes.

Please tick/write a comment if you have shared your child’s home reading book or any other reading activity at home.

Please ensure that children have correct PE kit including a tracksuit or jogging bottoms and jumper for outside PE.  Can you also check that children have correctly fitting trainers (outdoor PE) and plimsolls (indoor PE).

Please use this book as a point of contact. Let us know if your child is feeling unwell, or if someone different is collecting them etc. We will use it to communicate general information. If you have any questions or concerns pop a note in the contact book and we can arrange a time to meet to discuss it.

The children have set reading book change days which are Monday and Thursday so all home reading books and record sheets.  If books need to be changed outside of those days, the children will need to ask an adult who will then let them know when it is convenient for them to do so.

Sometimes, children choose to read their own books instead of school books.  This is fine.

Read with your child daily or as often as you can.  Support your child’s phonics development by playing phonics play activities or simple eye-spy games linked to the phonemes.  Support homework activities but please try to allow the children some time for independent work within homework tasks too.  Numbot is also a great website/app for the children to play whilst supported by an adult.
