Upper Key Stage 2 Trip to Dover Museum

On the 22nd of October Orcas, Marlins and Rockhoppers went on an amazing school trip to Dover Museum. Instead of all travelling on one bus we travelled on three separate buses, it was much more enjoyable. Once we had arrived we went off in our groups, they were just our normal classes.

First we walked through a library so we all had to be silent. We put our bags away in a theatre. My class went and had a look at the Bronze Age boat first. It was really interesting because there were lots of little shiny things in it, surprisingly they were actually pins! We looked at some relics of pottery and other things.

After that we went and had a talk about the Vikings, and all the girls from year three and up would be engaged because our hair is tied back, and all the boys would be learning to hunt and kill animals at the moment.

It was getting near the end of the day so we got to go make a Viking's face it was fun and wet work because we had to spray it every time we put on another piece of clay, even Miss Hindley, Miss McBride and Miss Mountjoy did one of their own. They were all great pieces of art.

We would all like to thank Mr Goddard and all the adults who came with us.
