Early Years Trip

On 21st October we went on our trip to Horlands Farm and Cedar Forest School. The coach picked us up at 9am, after a very busy morning getting our waterproof clothes and wellies on!!!!

On arrival we put all of our belongings in the barn and met our leader Karen and Farmer Richard. We then started our journey around the farm starting with the horses. We found out about orchards, sheep, horses, cattle and pigs. The farmer told us about the food they eat and how to care for the baby animals. We had an opportunity to look at some farm machinery too.

After lunch we went down to forest school where we learnt to safely use the natural resources in our play. Building dens and camps, exploring the trees, branches and leaves. We built houses for the animals and had an opportunity to explore in the mud and water. Lots of mud pies and potions were made.

We had a fun day!
